How did we start?

Good Planet SA was born on a trip to the London Coffee Festival, where founders John and Ashley discovered The Good Cup™, the world’s leading aqueous-coated, lid-free takeaway cup.

Ashley, a passionate coffee lover, instantly fell in love with the design and the experience of drinking from it. John immediately recognised the opportunity: this clever solution, lid-free, aqueous-coated and already embraced around the world, was not being distributed to South Africa.

From that moment, the mission was clear: bring this innovative, sustainable solution home.

Today, Good Planet SA is the exclusive distributor of The Good Cup™, whose vision is to help cafés, corporates and venues reduce plastic waste, simplify operations and elevate the takeaway experience.
